Abyssea¶
Legendary runs a custom Abyssea system that removes the retail time-gate and pop-item grind entirely. You can stay as long as you like, and every NM is poppable via Hunt Marks — no key items required.
Permanent Visitant¶
On retail and most private servers, entering Abyssea gives you a countdown timer (Visitant status) that runs out if you stay too long without renewing it via Traverser Stones.
On Legendary, Visitant is permanent. Zone in and stay indefinitely. No Traverser Stone management, no frantic runs to the conflux, no getting booted mid-fight.
Popping NMs with Hunt Marks¶
Every Abyssea NM that normally requires pop key items can instead be spawned by spending Hunt Marks at its ???.
How it works:
- Walk to the
???for any Abyssea NM. - Touch it. If you have the pop key items, it pops normally.
- If you are missing key items, a menu appears offering a Marks-based pop instead of the usual "missing key item" cutscene.
- Confirm the spend → the NM spawns near you, pre-claimed to your party.
Marks-popped NMs are scaled up from their retail versions — higher level, more HP, and boosted stats — so they provide a real challenge and a meaningful reward.
Zone Tiers¶
Abyssea is split into three tiers matching the retail expansion groupings. Mark cost, NM difficulty, and kill rewards all scale with tier.
| Tier | Zones | Mark Cost | NM Level | NM HP | Kill: Infamy | Kill: Gil |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Visions | Konschtat, Tahrongi, La Theine | 200 | 135 | 4,000,000 | 25 | 250,000 |
| Scars | Attohwa, Misareaux, Vunkerl | 350 | 145 | 7,000,000 | 40 | 500,000 |
| Heroes | Altepa, Grauberg | 500 | 155 | 10,000,000 | 60 | 750,000 |
Kill Rewards & Multipliers¶
When you kill a marks-popped NM, every online PC in your party receives both the gil and the Infamy payout. The base reward is then multiplied based on how you fought:
| Condition | Multiplier |
|---|---|
| 2 or more real players in party | ×2.0 |
| No trusts in party | ×1.5 |
| Both conditions met | ×3.0 |
Examples at Heroes tier (base: 60 Infamy / 750,000 gil):
| Setup | Infamy | Gil |
|---|---|---|
| Solo with trusts | 60 | 750,000 |
| Solo, no trusts | 90 | 1,125,000 |
| Party (2+ PCs) with trusts | 120 | 1,500,000 |
| Party (2+ PCs), no trusts | 180 | 2,250,000 |
Party play without trusts is the most efficient way to farm Infamy.
What Infamy Buys¶
Infamy is the top-tier endgame currency on Legendary. It is earned from Abyssea NM kills, Dungeons, Invasions, and Raids.
Infamy is spent at the Infamy Vendor at GM Home (!gmhome → Activities cluster). The Infamy Vendor stocks the best-in-slot weapons, armor, and accessories that are not obtainable anywhere else on the server — the true ceiling of progression.
Type !dungeon in-game to check your current Infamy balance.
Tips¶
No key items needed — ever
You never need to farm the traditional Abyssea pop key items. Every NM is accessible from the moment you have enough Hunt Marks.
- Check your Hunt Marks balance with
!huntrankbefore heading to Abyssea. - Bring real players, skip trusts for the maximum ×3.0 reward multiplier.
- Higher tiers pay significantly more Infamy — if your party can handle Heroes-tier NMs (Lv155, 10M HP), the rewards are worth it.
- All party members get paid — Infamy and gil go to every online PC in the party on kill, not just the claimer.
- You can pop any NM you have line of sight to the
???for, as many times as you have marks for.
