Scheduled Invasions — Defend GM Home¶
Twice a day the Voidsent pour into GM Home, the server's social hub, and it falls to whoever's around to throw them back. Invasions are a Besieged-style outpost defense: escalating waves of enemies that grow with the size of your defending force, capped off by a boss. Survive the assault and every defender shares in the spoils.
Summary
A twice-daily Besieged-style defense of GM Home — waves of Voidsent that scale with how many defenders show up, ending in a boss, rewarding marks and Infamy to all who hold the line.
When it happens¶
The Voidsent strike 8 times a day, at 00:00 UTC and 03:00 UTC and 06:00 UTC and 09:00 UTC and 12:00 UTC and 15:00 UTC and 18:00 UTC and 21:00 UTC.
- A server-wide warning shouts 5 minutes before each window so you can rally at GM Home.
- The assault only fires if at least one defender is standing in GM Home when the window opens — it stays armed for up to 10 minutes waiting for someone to show. No defenders, no invasion.
Just be in GM Home when a window opens and you're automatically a defender — there's nothing to sign up for.
The waves¶
The assault rolls in as a ladder of escalating waves, each tougher than the last, before the Voidsent commander itself appears:
| Wave | Enemy level |
|---|---|
| Vanguard | 110 |
| Shock Troops | 125 |
| Dreadguard | 140 |
| Apex Guard | 155 |
| The Warlord | 165 |
| Voidsent Warlord (boss) | 175 |
The final wave brings its own trash alongside the boss — clear them all and the boss to win.
Scaling and time limit¶
The more defenders who answer the call, the larger each wave — bring friends and the horde swells to match. The whole assault, from the first wave to the boss, must be cleared within 15 minutes. Hold the line and fell the boss before the clock runs out to claim victory.
Rewards¶
Every defender present is paid out — credit goes to anyone in GM Home at the relevant moment:
- 150 Hunt Marks for each wave cleared.
- 1,125 Hunt Marks + 100 Infamy on a full victory (the boss falls). This is one of the few sources of Infamy outside the dungeons.
- 150 Hunt Marks as a consolation if the clock beats the defense.
Victory also drops gear-vendor medals — a guaranteed Kindreds Medal haul, plus a rare ~1-in-1 chance at a Demons Medal for the very best gear.
Those medals feed the Armor and Weapons gear vendors (see the !hunt gear loop), so a strong turnout at invasions is a steady route to better equipment.
