The Star-Devourer — Weekly Raid Boss

The ultimate test on Legendary: a colossal, multi-phase raid boss lurking at the Voidgate in Escha-RuAun. The Star-Devourer is a server-shared fight anyone can join, but its richest rewards are locked to once per week — so rally a raid, learn the dance, and bring it down.

Summary

A weekly-lockout, multi-phase raid boss (The Star-Devourer) at Escha-RuAun — survive the stance dance, the tendril adds, the dispel sweep, and the enrage for marks and Infamy once a week.

Starting the fight

Seek out the Voidgate Sentinel in Escha-RuAun, standing beside the Voidspire Warden. Speak to them to summon The Star-Devourer — the fight is server-shared, so anyone in the area can join the brawl. It's a true raid: bring a crowd.

The boss

The Star-Devourer is a level 200 behemoth with a colossal health pool — roughly 45× a normal boss's HP. This is a long, phase-driven endurance fight, not a quick burn — expect to work through every stage below.

Fight mechanics

The Star-Devourer is a scripted encounter — its phases fire in a fixed order as you chip away at its health. Knowing what's coming is the difference between a clean kill and a wipe.

The stance dance — from 90% HP. Once the boss drops to 90% it begins alternating between two stances roughly every 45 seconds:

  • Aegis Stance — blades glance off (near-immune to physical), but magic rips through.
  • Umbral Stance — spells gutter out (near-immune to magic), but steel bites deep.

Watch the on-screen call-out and switch your damage type to match, or your numbers will vanish.

The tendrils — at 75% and 30% HP. The Devourer spawns Starspawn Tendrils and starts rapidly healing itself while they live — the tendrils feed the maw. Cut them down fast to stop the heal and resume your assault.

Dispel sweep — at 50% HP. A wave of unbeing strips protective buffs from everyone engaged. Be ready to re-buff and press on.

Final fury — at 15% HP. The boss permanently spikes its attack and attack speed for the last stretch — the closing burn is a dangerous one.

Soft enrage — 12 minutes in. If the fight drags on this long, a massive permanent buff lands and the encounter becomes a race. Kill it before the clock turns the Devourer untouchable.

If every living raider leaves the boss's area for too long, the fight resets and the Devourer despawns — keep someone on it.

Rewards

Rewards are on a weekly lockout (resetting Monday 00:00 UTC):

  • First kill of the week: 2,500 Hunt Marks + 500 Infamy.
  • Repeat kills the same week: 250 Hunt Marks as a consolation, so it's always worth helping your friends down it again.

You must be near the boss when it dies to get credit.

The weekly reset shares the same Monday anchor as the Mythic dungeon key, so you can plan your big-ticket weekly runs together.
