The Gauntlet

Summary

A 10-level solo challenge hidden in Riverne Site A01. At each of the first nine levels you choose: take the Safe Path and advance without combat, or face a legendary NM that grows twice as deadly each level. Level 10 has no safe option — defeat Shinryu or be expelled. Clear the final trial and you earn one of the largest one-time rewards on the server and a permanent NPC in the Hall of Champions.


Where to start

Talk to The Gauntlet keeper (sword-and-shield icon) in GM Home — same row as the Apex Arbiter and Rupture Sage. You can also use !gauntlet to check your clear count. When you're ready, choose Enter The Gauntlet and you're warped straight into the arena.

Rules:

  • Solo only — Trusts are automatically dismissed on entry. Pets are allowed.
  • One death ends the run. You are expelled immediately, no exceptions.
  • You can bail at any time with !gauntlet abort.

The ten levels

The Gauntlet runs you through ten escalating trials. The first nine each offer a choice; the tenth is mandatory combat.

HP doubles every level — a level 5 King Behemoth has 16× the HP of the level 1 Aquarius.


The choice (levels 1–9)

On entering each level, two warp spots appear:

  • Safe Path — advance to the next level with no combat. Useful for skipping fights you don't need, or for casually reaching level 10 on a less-geared character.
  • Challenge — summon the level's NM and fight it solo. Defeating it advances you to the next level. Dying ends the run.

You can mix and match — take safe paths on levels 1–4, then fight every NM from level 5 on. There is no difference in the final reward based on how many NMs you fought along the way.


Level 10: Shinryu

At level 10 the Safe Path is gone. A single warp — Final Trial — stands between you and legend. Step through it to summon Shinryu at level 152 with 51,200,000 HP.

There is no clock, no time limit. It's you, your pet if you brought one, and the dragon.

Defeating Shinryu triggers the reward instantly and you're warped back to GM Home.

The reward is the same on every clear — repeated clears increment your clear count and update your champion statue's inscription, but the currency reward repeats each time.


Hall of Champions

Every player who defeats Shinryu is memorialized as a named NPC in Riverne Site B01 — the Hall of Champions. Talk to any champion NPC to see their name and how many times they've cleared The Gauntlet. The hall is visible to all players at any time.

The Hall updates after the next map restart following a clear.


Commands

!gauntlet abort — exit your current run (no penalty, just ends the run) · !gauntlet status (GM) — list all active runs.
